Mind/body wellness sessions
As part of our ongoing commitment to support each of you in managing the unique challenges of your roles, we are excited to introduce a new opportunity tailored specifically for our community of first responders.
Starting Wednesday, September 25 we are offering an 8-session Mind-Body Skills Group, open to all first responders. These sessions will take place every Wednesday starting at 10am for 8 weeks straight. This group is designed to equip you with practical tools to enhance your well-being, manage stress more effectively, and improve your overall quality of life.
Mind-Body Skills Groups have been successfully adapted for various populations, including veterans, Department of Corrections workers, and children in war zones, as well as emergency responders at FDNY post-9/11. These sessions have demonstrated significant benefits nationally and internationally, offering strategies that are both practical and transformative.
The group will be led by two providers certified in Mind-Body Medicine, who bring over 20 years of experience facilitating these groups. They have a dedicated track record of serving Minnesota's first responders and are deeply committed to your well-being.
Here’s what you can expect from participating in this group:Enhanced Clarity and Focus: Learn techniques to clear your mind and enhance decision-making, helping you both on and off duty.Improved Sleep: Gain strategies to improve the quality of your sleep, essential for recovery and resilience.Stronger Connections: Build stronger relationships through shared experiences and understanding with fellow first responders.Stress Reduction: Discover new ways to manage and reduce stress through proven mind-body techniques.Overall Well-being: Leave each session with a greater sense of personal well-being and tools to maintain it.
We understand that this may be a new approach for many, and we want to make it as accessible as possible. Therefore, participation is donation-based, allowing everyone to contribute whatever they feel comfortable with.
These sessions are not just meetings; they are a chance to gain skills that can profoundly impact your personal and professional life. We encourage you to give this opportunity a try and experience the benefits firsthand.
This program is open to 8 H3 members and is FREE. To sign up or learn more about the Mind-Body Skills Group, please contact Alexis Nicklow RN at 612-554-8806 or info@thebutterflylanding.org
